Our help this time was needed for a young mum who is going through the legal process of her right to indefinite leave through domestic abuse. She is working and not in receipt of any benefits which means she has no recourse to public funding. With a monthly bill for £300 for her legal costs she is left without money for food for her and her 2 year old daughter. She was brought to our attention by a women’s support worker, from a charity in her area. We agreed to send her £100 to go towards food and energy costs.
