Mother of 4 trying to turn her life around

We were approached about a single mother of four children who is trying desperately to turn her life around.  She has recovered from issues in her life that left her with depression, psychotic depression and mental health problems.  She has been moved recently from Employment Support Allowance to Universal Credit which has meant delays in her receiving any money (5 weeks so far), which means her putting the children before herself and she is really struggling.  She is studying for a qualification which will mean she has a better future for her and her children, and is volunteering through her church and also with a couple of local groups to her, working one to one with vulnerable adults around issues such as substance abuse and homelessness.  We were asked if we could offer her some financial support, which we agreed to and sent her £150.
