Family without food

A family consisting of mum, dad, two children and a third on the way are without food.  Mum, although pregnant, works part-time at a very low paid job.  They do get some Universal Credit, but that and her wages is nowhere near enough for them to live on.  The father is unable to work due to mental health issues, and the family are having to borrow from a family member money to top up their gas and electricity meters.  They are accessing the food banks just to survive.  Their cooker is broken and they cannot afford to replace it, so they have ‘bought’ a microwave via finance to be able to cook their food, the little they can get their hands on.  We agreed to send the family £200 to get them a little ahead with things and be able to buy some food.
