A man who has been living in his property for some time has been served an eviction notice as his landlord wishes to have the property demolished to make way for a new building. A new home has been found for the man by his local council, however he is in no position to be able to afford to pay to move the few items of furniture he owns. He is disabled and in receipt of Employment Support Allowance and his rent is covered by housing benefit. We agreed to send the man £100 to cover the cost of a man with a van to move his possessions, as well as for him to be able to buy a few bits for his new home.
