Young mum of two struggling to manage

Our help was needed for a young mum who was a care leaver following the death of one parent when she was 7, and then the other parent after that as a result of alcoholism.  She got together with someone who she discovered was a gang member, he treated her very badly and was violent towards her.  He is considered very dangerous and has an extensive and violent criminal history.  She and her two children are now far away from him and finally safe, however she is now having to address the huge amount of debt she is in.  Her energy supplier have a warrant to enter her home to install a prepayment meter as she is in so much debt with them.  She admits she has not been good with her money but she has been through so much, plus did not have the guidance from her parents when she was younger, having been orphaned at a young age.  Our agents are helping her to source the proper debt help and she is working towards applying for a Debt Relief Order for which the fee is £90.  We agreed to cover the cost of that fee so she can begin to get her life on track, as well as an extra £60 for her and the boys.  She is working closely with the visiting health team, is attending a parenting course and is hoping to study for her GCSEs.  She wants to become a good role model for her children and work towards giving them a better life.
