Former HGV driver dealing with cancer

A man who was previously working as an HGV driver has been diagnosed with cancer and is currently undergoing extensive chemotherapy for this.  He is not in receipt of any money at all, and his outgoings are over £700 a month.  Our agents are helping him to apply for Employment Support Allowance and housing benefit, something he has never had to do before.  In the meantime he does not have any money to buy food, and his consultant has told him that due to the aggressive treatment he is receiving he needs to keep his strength up to be able to cope.  We agreed to send him £100.
