We were asked to help a vulnerable 29 year old female who is currently in receipt of Job Seekers Allowance of £63.10 per week, plus housing benefit. She has arrears with her rent due to her missing a signing on appointment because her mental health was too bad to allow her to attend, the knock on of this was her housing benefit was stopped for a period of time. She is trying to catch up with the arrears, pay an outstanding water bill, which is being deducted at source, and she simply does not have enough money to live off. Last week her gas and electricity were cut off due to her not topping up her meters, and she is in dire need of some clothing. At the moment she only has £4 to last her until the middle of June. We agreed to send her £100 to use as she needs.
