This situation involved a mother of four children, aged between 18 months and 12 years. The mum and children had separated from the father due to a domestic violence situation, where drink and drugs were prevalent. This has meant the mother is saddled with a lot of debt as a result of essential bills not being paid. Her home is heated by electric storage heaters which are expensive to run and she needed some financial assistance to cover the cost of running the heating. We agreed to send £100 to go towards the cost of this.
