Our agents asked us if we would consider helping a young mum of two children, ages 2 and 4. They have had to leave their family home and are currently living in refuge accommodation. When they arrived they had the clothes they wear wearing and she had a few items of clothing for the children. All the benefits she receives goes to pay for the refuge accommodation as well as paying back her Universal Credit advance. Our agents are concerned that she really needs some changes of clothes, specifically underwear, and some toiletry items. We agreed to send the family £150 to help with this.
