Family of four in supported accommodation

A mother and her three children are all living in supported accommodation.  The children are all under 8 years old and the eldest is subject to a child protection order following physical abuse from his stepfather.  The mother is working hard to ensure that the children are kept safe, which the child services are happy with.  The family are in arrears with rent and until this is caught up they cannot begin to bid on alternative accommodation.  The eldest child has been in and out of hospital due to epilepsy, and suffers with bed wetting.  In an effort to address this they are trying to create an environment where this young person feels safe and so they need to purchase him a new bed.  We agreed to send the family £200 to pay for the new bed and to have some money left over to go towards the family debts.
