Emergency assistance needed for 60 year old man

We were contacted as a matter of urgency by our agents who are assisting a man who will be 60 years old very soon.  Back in December 2017 he was refused Employment Support Allowance, and apart from a couple of very small loans from his local authority and a few food vouchers has had nothing since then.  He went to his local doctors and the staff there, donated items from their own lunches to give to him as he was in such a dreadful state.  His doctors have prescribed him some supplements, as the lack of food has impacted severely on his health.  His health issues, COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease), mobility issues, depression and anxiety, as well as having issues with the mobility of his hands means that signing on to Job Seekers Allowance would not be suitable for him right now.  He does not even have the energy to get to the soup kitchens that run in the city where he lives.  Our contacts are helping him to appeal the ESA decision, but due to how long it takes for the cases to be heard, it could be several months before he gets a court date.  Our agents felt this was such a desperate situation and asked for our help, which we agreed to and sent over £100.
