A lady previously unable to work due to mental health issues is now finding herself undergoing serious treatment for cancer. She was previously in receipt of Employment Support Allowance, however at renewal she failed the assessment and is currently only in receipt of her Personal Independence Payment of £360 per month. Her monthly outgoings are £350, leaving her with just £10 for essentials and food to last her the month. Our agents have helped her to reapply for ESA, and hopefully this will be successful. In the meantime she is struggling to cope and really needed our help. We agreed to send her £100 to go towards food and fuel.
