We were asked to help a lady who lost her partner suddenly last year which has left her with a lot of debts. Our agents have helped her to set up payment plans for this but it has left her with very little amount of money for food. She is unable to work as she has a broken hip, and arthritis in her hands. Living on the third floor of a block of flats makes shopping difficult for her as she can only carry small amounts at a time. She is currently in receipt of Employment Support Allowance of £73.10 per week. Our agents are in the process of assisting her to apply for Personal Independence Payments. We agreed to send her £100 to allow her to stock up on some food items.
