We came across a lady whose benefits payments were expected into her bank account today and had ordered some food to be delivered to her. Unfortunately due to the bank holidays, her payments will not be received until Tuesday, which left her unable to pay for the food for the weekend and beyond, and unable to purchase any food from elsewhere until at least next Tuesday when the banks open again. We sent across £30 to tide her over until her next payment arrives. She was extremely grateful for the help.
