A very sad case that needs help

Our client was brought to our attention by our agents.  He is a single father, following the death last year of his wife, when she was killed in a road traffic accident, having walked out in front of a lorry.  He has two sons, both of whom are disabled, and as young adults, the child benefit and child tax credits have now stopped being paid.  Both boys are unable to work, due to their disabilities, so he has put in an application for Employment Support Allowance, but that is goint to take some time to be processed.  Everyone in the house is very down, and the boys are understandably missing their mum, but they are equally concerned about their father, who is depressed, overwhelmed and crying.  The house was freezing cold when our agents visited them, and this was due to them being unable to put any money on the cards to pay for any gas or electricity.  The prospects for their Christmas do not look good.

We agreed between us that we would send over £250 as there are three adults that need help.  Hopefully they’ll be able to put the heating on, buy some food and be able to cook some meals.  An offer of hope at a desperate time, which without you all donating to us regularly we would not be able to do, so thank you.
