A 25 year old man was evicted from his home by his landlord, leaving him homeless. The young man has learning difficulties and mental health problems. His Universal Credit payments have stopped, as has his Personal Independence Payments. He is completely without any money and our agents are helping him to get his benefits back into payment. They have placed him in emergency temporary accommodation as he is a vulnerable adult. They wanted to know if we could assist him with sending him some money for food and essentials for the next few weeks. We agreed to send him £100, in two £50 payments, to spread the money out.
