We were asked to help a young man, who gave up being self-employed to become a carer for his mother. His mother has sadly died and this has impacted her son enormously, to the point where he is now feeling suicidal. He has fallen into arrears with his rent while caring for his mother, and his private landlord has offered to overlook the arrears which amount to over £2,000 if he agrees to move out quickly. He is without any income and needs to move all his and his mothers belongings and we were asked if we could contribute towards the cost of doing this. By doing this it alleviates him falling into even further debt, and hopefully he can be eventually rehomed elsewhere. A friend has offered to store his belongings in their garage. We agreed to send him £100 to help him out of this dreadful situation.
