We’ve had a lot of cases just lately though, and one in particular which really tugged on our heartstrings was a lady who had recently had to move house due to being flooded out of her home. Her partner works but she suffers from very ill health, and this lady had a new nephew that she really wanted to go and visit. She had saved carefully all month and managed to set aside £80 to go and visit, but it was sadly stolen from her home.
She was very low about it, not least of all because it must have been someone known to her who had taken the money, so we reimbursed her that amount so that she could go and visit her family.
