We were approached on behalf of a single mum who had had to flee her home following the kidnap and torture of her teenage son. She was under witness protection until earlier this year, resulting in her moving home nine times. She is still in temporary accommodation, waiting on permanent accommodation. She was visited this week by our contact who reported that she had very little in terms of possessions and is very isolated, not knowing anyone in the area. Our contact is going to get her involved with some local groups so that she can make friends, but they wondered if they could request some financial help so she could maybe get a cheap secondhand TV. We agreed to send across £50 to help her.
