Mother dealing with impact of her having cancer as a child

A mother of two children, who herself had very intensive treatment for cancer as a child, is now as an adult finding it difficult to do the most basic of tasks.  Unfortunately she did not receive the full help and support she should have received when she was a child, and that is impacting on her life now.  She is now being supported and part of that is helping her with her finances.  She is in receipt of Universal Credit and child benefit, but our agents are helping her to apply for personal independence payment as her condition interferes with her ability to live a normal life.  The mother is frequently going without meals so that her children have enough to eat, so we sent her £100 to use to buy some food and stock her cupboards and fridge up with.
