A man diagnosed with skin cancer has had his application for Universal Credit turned down. Currently he receives £280 a month from a personal pension and that is it, yet his rent alone is £122 a week. He has an appointment scheduled with the DWP to get this refusal sorted out, it seems it has become complicated as he was self-employed before. Our agents are prepared to help him appeal the decision if necessary. We agreed to send him £100 towards his bills.
