We were asked to help a man who had lost his PIP (Personal Independence Payment) award. He successfully appealed it but it took a year to be heard and then although he’d won, he was waiting to be repaid the money he was due, dating back to when his PIP award was cancelled. Completely without money for Christmas he was really fed up as it meant even longer to wait. We offered him £50 to tide him over as finally found out that the payment to him from the DWP would be made on the 27th of this month.
