Man left without food

We were contacted urgently about a man our agents have recently been helping.  He suffers with very severe PTSD and has failed an ESA assessment.  He’s been existing on his PIP payment only each week, £55, to cover everything, but of course this is not going very far.  He lives in sheltered accommodation, and is in dire straits so close to Christmas when the agencies close down.  They are trying to get his ESA appealed, but know that it is going to take a long time.  In the meantime they wanted some short term help as he has exhausted the support from his local area, and is too stressed to be able to claim JSA while he waits.  We agreed to send across £100 to tide him over, and hopefully our agents will be successful in getting his ESA decision overturned.
