Food bank dilemma

One of our Biscuits (a fond term we use for each of our Biscuit Fund members) noticed in her local paper that a food bank was struggling to deal with the increasing demands on their services, with more and more people coming to them for help.  They are a small food bank that operates within their local area without any bigger support from elsewhere.  We agreed between us that we would set aside £100 to purchase some non-perishable food items.  Our Biscuit organised for some shopping to be done, tinned tomatoes, potatoes, rice pudding, jars of spaghetti sauce, pasta, rice, jams, tea, coffee, as well as toiletries, such as shampoo, toilet roll, deodorant, shaving foam, shower gel, nappies and baby wipes.  The items were delivered to the food bank in question.  Needless to say the shopping was gratefully received.
