Our contact asked us to help out a family that are really struggling right now. The mother has Aspergers, COPD, mental health problems, lupus, and a personality disorder. Her son has severe Aspergers and them living together is really causing terrible problems for them both. A hostel place has been found for the son, however there are some initial costs involved, travelling etc for him to be able to move to the hostel. Our agents have applied for financial help from the local authority but have been told it will take at least 2 weeks to get an answer, which might be no. If they wait the hostel place will be lost, and the lady’s mental health is getting worse by the day. We agreed to send £100 to help out the situation.
