We were asked to assist a man who after a lengthy period has been released from prison. He is determined to stay out of trouble and not return, but has been released with nowhere to go to or any support in place. He has had the sense to seek out help for himself and with their support has signed a tenancy in a hostel. He doesn't have anything to his name though, and would need to visit the charity shops in his area to get some bits, such as clothing, plates, cups, saucepans, bedding even. We agreed to send him £100 to help him out as we believe this help could be lifechanging for him.

We were contacted by a group that supports people, giving them the opportunity to a fresh start in life. This man was facing life on his own, following a brief spell in custody as he was no longer living with his wife on his release. All he had was a place to live, a bed and a kettle and was existing on sandwiches and junk food, the cost of which was prohibiting him from being able to save any money in order to purchase an oven. He can't access food banks as mostly the food they have available requires cooking. We agreed to send across enough money to supply an oven, and our agents said that they could from this sum get someone qualfied to install it for him.
