We sent £40 to help a man in his fifties that suffered a stroke a while back which has left him difficult to understand at times. He needs quite a bit of assistance to access details about his benefits because he is unable to use a computer and nowadays most contact happens that way. He is waiting on his first Universal Credit payment, and although they tried to get an advanced payment of this for him, without him knowing his log in details, or even any information to pass the security with the DWP, this has been impossible to resolve. The £40 we sent to him will be used to top his meters up so he can put his heating and hot water on, as well as be able to operate his fridge, etc.
