Lady had to quit her job to become a carer at home

We were asked to help a lady who has had to give up her job to become a carer in her home.  She is struggling to stay on top of all the bills but is finding it very hard as she simply does not have enough money coming into the house.  She is trying to work part-time to help out the financial situation at home, but it is not working too well.  She is now getting bailiffs calling at the house, and this is causing her extreme anxiety, and is making her depression much worse than it was before.  We agreed we would help her with this and arranged to have the money sent over so the application for the DRO could be made on her behalf.

Unemployed man being pursued for debts

We were asked to help a young man who has found himself unemployed, and as he has spare bedrooms is liable for bedroom tax, and is in rent and council tax arrears which along with other debts is being pursued by the courts and bailiffs.  This is causing him extreme stress and anxiety, and he has been advised to allievate this by applying for a debt relief order.  However to do this he needs to pay the £90 fee, which he is unable to do.  We were asked if we could cover the cost of this for him which we agreed to do.
