We were contacted urgently late in the day on a Friday to help a man who has an 11 year old son. The father has been helped to successful appeal and overturn a PIP decision, however the wheels at the DWP turn very slowly and he is still waiting for the PIP to be put back into payment. Being without the money means that he has no electricity as no credit on his meter, nor does he have any food. Our agents although they could get a food voucher for him, he wouldn't be able to use it until the following Monday, leaving them without all weekend. We agreed to help him and sent across £50 to tide him over until he could be paid or a food bank voucher got to him.
