Man with cancer struggling to buy food

Our help was needed today for a man who is currently receiving pallative care for cancer.  His care is being provided by his local hospice and he is finding the treatment has caused his taste to change.  All the money he receives from his benefits is swallowed up by bills, leaving him with no spare money to buy high calorie food he feels able to eat.  We agreed to send him £100 to help him out, and have advised our agents to get their client to apply for a Discretionary Housing Payment to assist him with meeting his council tax bill.
